Thank you to all who joined us

last night for the Home & School Meeting.

The 5th grade music program performed

 for us and they did a spectacular job!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held after 12 Noon Mass on Easter Sunday.

This is always a fun tradition and treat for the children after Mass.

Harlem Globetrotters Recap

A great time was had by all at the Harlem Globetrotters game on March 11th.

Our IHM students were invited on the court at the end of the game

to have their picture taken with some of the Harlem Globetrotter players.

In addition, as a reward for having sold so many tickets to the game

two players from the Harlem Globetrotters visited our school on March 8th

and put a special assembly on for the children in the gym.

Hot Lunch Days

We are always in need of help with the Hot Lunch program.

If you are able to spare any time to help serve the children please contact

Nancy McDermott at anancyderm@comcast.net. For the month of May we will continue to serve Chicken Caesar Salad on Wednesday and Pizza on Friday.

Fourth Annual Mother Son Dance Recap

The Fourth Annual Mother Son Dance was well attended this year by many

students and their Moms. It was a fun night of dinner and dancing. We even

had many moms participate in a game of “Mom Musical Chairs” which the

boys loved watching!  Thank you again to the many volunteers and bakers that helped with the dance. Your time and dedication to our school is so appreciated.

Save the Date

Tuesday, May 17th  will be our last Home & School Meeting of the year.

The tuition raffle will be drawn that evening as well. We are open to any suggestions or recommendations you may have. Please contact a board member with your ideas!

March Newsletter

The next Home & School Meeting

will be held on March 30, 2011 at 7:00pm

in Father Sullivan Hall. The 5th grade music

program will be performing for us.

Harlem Globetrotters

We had a great response to IHM’s Night at the Harlem Globetrotters.  We have two bus loads of students and parents going to this fun event on Friday, March 11th. The students will take a photo on the court prior to game time with the team Mascot and 20 IHM students will have the chance to be on the court during the third quarter to sing and perform “YMCA” with the Globetrotters!

Tickets will be distributed before we depart. The buses will leave IHM’s parking lot at 4:45pm on game day! We are also thrilled to inform you that on Tuesday, March 8th some of the Harlem Globetrotters will perform for the first through eighth graders at a school assembly in the IHM gym!

The Fourth Annual Mother Son Dance will be held on Saturday, March 26th

from 6:30pm-9:30pm in Father Sullivan Hall. Dinner, dancing and fun games

are on the menu. This is always a fun evening for the boys. There will also be

a surprise for the 8th grade boys and their moms! Please contact

March Hot Lunch Days

We have rescheduled a Pizza Day to Monday, March 7th from the month of January due to a missed snow day. We have also rescheduled a Chicken Finger Day from February to Monday, March 14th due to a school closure. Only the children that purchased those items during those months will be served.  We are in need of volunteers to help serve the children please contact

Maria’s Pizza Card Fundraiser

The Home & School Association thanks all the families that supported the Maria’s Pizza Card Fundraiser. A large number of families took advantage of this great deal and will be enjoying lots of pizza in the months to come! A great big congratulations to Mrs. Bevan’s 4th grade class for selling the most pizza cards.  They will enjoy a special pizza party. Thank you to Lisa Isackman for volunteering to coordinate the Pizza Card orders.

IHM Super Bowl Hoagie Day

The first annual IHM Super Bowl Hoagie Day was a success.  They were a great game time treat! Thank you to the many volunteers that helped make, wrap and label the hoagies.

The IHM Home & School Association

wishes you and your family a happy healthy New Year.

Father Daughter Dance

 

The Fourth Annual Father Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 6:30p-9:30p.  This special evening will create memories that last a lifetime.  Please join us for dinner, dancing, desserts and some surprises.  We will have a special treat for our 8th Grade Girls’ and their  Fathers as this will be their last IHM Father Daughter Dance.  We will also be looking for volunteers for set-up, decorating and clean-up.

 

Capri Sun Pouch Recycle Program

 

We are in need of a new coordinator for the Carpi Sun Pouch Recycle Program.  The coordinator is responsible for collecting the Capri Sun Pouches from the designated collection containers in FSH and mailing them back to Capri Sun.  IHM receives 2 cents for each recycled pouch and thus far we have recycled over 1,000 pouches! Super Bowl Hoagie Day

 

Order your game day hoagies from IHM! Order forms will be sent home

for you to choose your favorite “Big Game” hoagies. All orders can be picked up at Father Sullivan Hall on Sunday, February 6, 2011 after 12 noon mass.

New Addition to Hot Lunch Program

 

The IHM Home & School Association

will be adding an additional hot lunch day starting every

Friday in February. We will offer a Chicken Caesar Salad

with Breadstick from Tony A’s. If you can volunteer to help serve the

January Home & School Meeting to test taste the newest addition.

November Newsletter

The IHM Home & School Association would like to thank everyone for the wonderful turnout we had at our first Home & School meeting of the year.  We appreciate all your input and recommendations.  We look forward to implementing your suggestions.  Please join us for the next meeting on January 25, 2011 at 7:00pm.

The March Home & School meeting has been moved to March 30, 2011 at 7:00pm. We are honored to share a special performance by the IHM Fifth Grade Music Program with you that evening!

IHM Family Spaghetti Dinner Night

The First Annual IHM Family Spaghetti Dinner Night is this Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 4:00pm in Father Sullivan Hall.  We are thrilled with the attendance level for this first time event  and are looking forward to a great afternoon of fun! Kid Stuff Books Fundraiser

Kid Stuff Books were distributed to each family. All money or non-purchased books will need to be returned by November 12, 2010. The cost of the book is $25.00 and a portion of the profit goes back to our school. If you would like to purchase additional books please contact Kim Kelly at 215.508.1804 or

Christmas Bazaar

The Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 10a-4:30pm in Father Sullivan Hall. Please join us for all the holiday festivities.  There will be Christmas Crafts that our children made that can be purchased as great holiday gifts for your family and friends. continue There will be crafters with unique items to purchase for that special someone on your holiday shopping list. We are still in need of baked good items for the baked goods table and bottles of Cheer for the Cheer Wheel. Any family who donates either of those items will receive a Free Electronics Day for their children. Please drop off baked goods or Cheer on Friday evening before the Bazaar to receive your certificate or contact a board member to coordinate a pick up for your donated Cheer.  Also, there will be fantastic prize baskets for your chance to win. Santa will make a special appearance and pictures will be taken to capture the moment.
